Our fleet consist of well-maintained vehicles that are equipped with GPS to provide faster service and shorter response times. We transport from local hospitals, funeral homes, nursing homes, private residences, mortuaries, and crematories. We also specialize in Coroner and Medical Examiner transport to autopsy or transplant services for the state of Missouri and surrounding states. By using Superior Mortuary Transport, you can lower your fuel expenses, reduce wear and tear, plus keep your mileage lower on your vehicle. We help reduce overtime costs on long, out of town deliveries.

Our team

Lenox Jones

Owner/Operator

When not on call Lenox enjoys being a full time father, baseball and basketball coach for his kids, part time helicopter pilot and scuba diving. Lenox has been in the Funeral industry since 2009 and his passion is helping his families and funeral service providers. Lenox was also the Phelps County Deputy Coroner which gave him even more experience in the field. Lenox takes his job and his families seriously, and is dedicated to his company.

Lenox started the Mortuary Transport Service after long conversations with friends and colleagues in the industry that made known there was a need for someone with his dedication and compassion in this industry. Since the companies inception Lenox has grown the company from covering not only Funeral Service Providers in Missouri but also the surrounding states. Superior Mortuary’s goal is to provide families and other Funeral Service Providers with a peace of mind and comfort knowing that we will represent the families or funeral homes with compassion, dignity, honor and respect.

James Tharp

James Tharp is from Rolla Missouri and is a husband and father of four. His oldest just graduated High School, and his youngest is starting kindergarten. In addition to being a husband and father, James works as a Data report writer/Analyst and EHS Specialist for Compass Health Network. James also teaches Business and Information Systems classes for Missouri University of Science and Technology, in Rolla, and at Southwest Baptist University in Salem.

In his free time, James is also active with the Rolla Lions club, is a past Grand Knight with the Knights of Columbus, loves to camp with his family and go hunting and fishing.

Since James and his wife Melissa lost their oldest son, Brayden, at the age of 5, he has made a commitment to providing hope and compassion to grieving families. James considers it an honor to serve your family and truly understands the importance of your loved one receiving the best possible care after his or her passing.

Adrian Kimes

Adrian Kimes has lived in the state of  Missouri for 7 years. He has worked for Georgia Pacific for 7 years making fire proof doors.

Adrian is a Veteran of the Marine Corps. He is the father of 5 children ages 31 thru 18 and has 6 grandchildren. He has been married for 16 years.

William Henne

I was born and raised in Nebraska, and still have a great love for the State, I left Home at the age of 19 to join the Navy. I served 6 years in the Navy as an aircraft firefighter, while serving on the USS Enterprise. After my enlistment I procured a job in the finance industry. I spent about 19 years as a manager and area supervisor, when the company closed its doors I was out of a career. I am divorced but have two beautiful daughters, both grown now and the oldest has given me three amazing grandchildren. My youngest daughter is a college student majoring in broadcast journalism.

I am a sports fan,  Nebraska Cornhuskers being my main interest, but also a huge fan of Cardinals baseball!   I also love to hunt when I have time. My major passion in life is woodworking. I enjoy spending time in my shop creating. I have lived in Rolla about 26 years now and it has become my home.  My many years here have been a blessing and have given me many great friends and family.
